In addition to using some strategies those students already know, they can learn more knowledge about board games from the teacher and apply it during the class. Therefore, this class can enhance not only cognitive but also technical and affective.

2. Supportive environment–Global Gala

Global Gala is a kind of a talent show, but something more than that. Because students in this program are from all over the world, everybody here can not only enjoy various performances from different countries, but also show your expertise or some special things in your culture. No matter what talent you perform, it is the most unique performance and definitely deserve the most enthusiastic encouragement and applause.

1. Volunteering at camps: Provide instant assistance to ensure the campers are involved and safe.

2. Visiting Kidslink School: Attend classes of different ages and acquire various teaching strategies in interdisciplinary school settings.

3. Conversation with professors: Meet professors at Kent State University and learn about special education in the US.

Internship Rewards:

1. Practical Application of Special Education Teaching: KidsLink

In KidsLink School, through classroom observations and questioning, we got to learn how theories were put into practice, including visual strategies, physical structure, and applied behavior analysis.

2. Accessible and Diverse Activities at Akron Rotary Camp

At Akron Rotary Camp, the summer program designed for individuals with special needs offers a diverse range of engaging indoor and outdoor activities. Campers have the unique opportunity to participate in activities like climbing, canoeing, and swimming, all under the guidance of our dedicated counselors and volunteers. Furthermore, campers can explore their creative sides through a variety of STEM and art-craft activities. The accessible environment is committed to providing essential support, allowing campers not only to relish their time at camp but also to develop bravery and self-confidence as they immerse themselves in these exciting adventures.
