學科考試規定：Regulations for qualifying examination:
1.申請資格：修畢畢業規定30學分之該學期（限當學期有註冊者）Qualification for application: Students may apply for qualifying examination during the semester in which they have earned a cumulative total of 30 credits, as specified in the criteria for graduation. (Limited to those who have registered for the current semester)
2.申請時間：必考科於每學年第二學期開學後第二週申請，選考科於每學期開學後第二週申請（本學期為3月2日～3月6日）Application period: The compulsory subject must be scheduled during the second week of the second semester in each academic year, while elective subjects can be scheduled during the second week of each semester.
3.考試時間：開學後第十二週考試。每科考4至6小時，分三天考完
（本學期為5月11日、13日及15日）Examination dates: Examinations are held during the 12th week of each semester; each subject lasts for 4–6 hours and is completed over the course of 3 days. (This semester’s examination dates are May 11, 13 and 15.)

At the 4th Department Meeting of the 114 Academic Year (held on January 6, 2026), amendments were approved to the regulations governing the qualifying examinations for doctoral students. The revisions related to the subject examinations are summarized as follows:
一、選考科目之考試參考資料規定：
A. Elective Subject Examination Reference Materials Policy
考試期間一律不得使用網路，亦不得攜帶任何電子資料。若參考資料原為電子書出版形式，僅得事先列印成紙本，並以紙本方式攜帶入場。
During the examination, access to the internet and the use of electronic materials are strictly prohibited. Materials originally published in electronic book format may only be brought into the examination venue in hard copy after being printed.
二、學術倫理與罰則
B. Academic Integrity and Penalties
為強化學術倫理之遵守，新增明確說明及罰則如下：
凡考試作答內容經認定涉及抄襲者，該科目成績以零分計算，且該生於兩年內不得再申請該科學科考試。
To reinforce compliance with academic ethics, an explicit statement and penalty have been added:
Any instance of plagiarism identified in the examination responses shall result in a zero mark for the relevant subject, and the student shall be barred from applying for the qualifying examination in that subject for a period of two years.
三、重考次數規定：
C. Make-up Examination Policy
已取消不及格科目之重考次數限制。凡重考時尚未屆滿修業年限者，均得申請同一科目之重考。
The limitation on the number of make-up examinations for failed subjects has been removed. Students who have not yet reached the maximum length of study may apply to retake the same subject examination.
