Required Documetns

1. Two recommendation letters (including one from a Mandarin language teacher or a referee that can properly evaluate the applicant’s command of the Mandarin and English language)
2. Study plan (specifying motivation for application)
3. Autobiography
4. Certificate of Chinese learning experience
5. Any documents that might be supportive (eg proof of community service)

3. Proof of English ability ( TOEFL or degree conferred in English speaking countries)
4. Documents of Chinese learning experience

2. Master thesis
3. Study plan
4. Dissertation proposal
5. Other publications
6. Proof of English ability ( TOEFL score, a degree certificate from an English speaking country or results obtains in a language center)

Examination Date

The location and date for interview will be announced on department website on April 17, 2017.

Remarks

1. The admitted students, if not having enrolled on the specified dates, can apply to retain their admission status and postpone their studies to the next academic year.
2. Admitted students shall take the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language ( Level 4: Advanced-mid on the reading comprehension exam), which is held by Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu before registration. Those who do not reach the proficiency level shall take Chinese language courses as required.
